Co-founded by Aftab Shaukat and Kashif Ali, ROOT joins managed revenue cycle management, credentialing, practice operations and DIRT data intelligence.
Our mission and vision
We aim to make reliable revenue intelligence and accountable operating support accessible to independent healthcare organizations. We want practice leaders to see what needs attention, understand why it matters, and have a practical path to act.
Who we build for
We focus on US independent physician practices and growing medical groups. Our initial commercial focus includes cardiology, vascular, and multispecialty practices; we also scope other specialty groups and ambulatory surgery centers according to their systems, payer mix, and operating needs.
Our operating philosophy
We use technology to accelerate the work. We keep people accountable for judgment. We support claims with evidence and measure progress against an agreed baseline.
How we work together
We start with a discovery conversation. When the next decision needs investigation, our $2,500 fixed-fee Revenue Optimization Diagnostic produces a prioritized opportunity register and 90-day roadmap. We can also scope a service directly when you already know what you need. Implementation and recurring services are separate, optional engagements.
Our operating method
We connect approved sources, reconcile the financial picture, explain material exceptions, prioritize the work, assign action, and measure follow-through. DIRT is our embedded Data Intelligence for Revenue Transformation capability; we combine that intelligence with revenue operations, credentialing, and practice support.
How we measure progress
We agree the measures that matter to the engagement, such as denial incidence, aging receivables, payer turnaround, reconciliation exceptions, enrollment readiness, and completed corrective actions. We document definitions and assumptions, distinguish estimated exposure from realized cash, and review results against a baseline.
Review and improvement
We agree an operating cadence for unresolved exceptions, assigned actions, escalations, and leadership review. We use the findings to decide what to continue, change, or stop. Scope, review frequency, responsibilities, and delivery expectations are defined in the engagement.
We prioritize clients over clicks, evidence over unsupported claims, and execution over activity. We use technology without outsourcing our judgment. We sell capability without manufacturing credibility.
